I started preparing to hire a second physical therapist in our practice about two years ago. I was at maximum capacity for treating patients myself, had quite a long wait list and wanted to take a new direction with my personal focus and transition from treating patients 5 days a week to helping other physical therapists grow their own businesses. I’m really excited to announce that on this month's CashPT Lunch Hour I interviewed four amazing women! Over the winter I connected with Sarah via social media and met both her and Claire at CSM in San Antonio in February.

Sarah, Claire, Erin and Julie have formed a group called the Neurocollaborative with a focus on helping other neuro based clinics grow and expand. I am always on the lookout for examples of people crushing it in a cash-based practice who defy some norm, expectation or myth and they all fit the bill. They all own cash-based clinics who’s focus or target market are patients with neurological deficits and they each do it slightly different and I’m stoked to have had them on The CashPT Lunch Hour to show what they are doing successfully and what’s possible in a cash practice. I had the honor to interview one of the top Physical Therapists and Entrepreneur, Greg Todd, PT, OCS, CSCS live from the APTA's Combined Sections Meeting in San Antonio, TX.

I created the group called The CashPT Nation which has about 3,500 members now. It is a group for therapists interested or working in the cash-based therapy model. All therapy professionals are welcome; Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapist, Chiropractors, Massage Therapists, etc. I created it to network, answer questions and support each other in our journey to Freedom In Practice! I did a live Q & A for the group because what I do is I help passionate Physical Therapists create, grow and market successful cash-based practices and I have a lot of questions lately and I’ve seen a lot of awesome questions in the Cash PT Nation.

I had the honor to interview Dr. Carlos J Berio, PT, DPT, MS, CSCS, HKC, SPJ.

Dr. Berio is the Owner & Head Sports Pain Jedi at SPARK Physiotherapy in Alexandria, VA. A Physical Therapist, CSCS & Myofascial Trigger Point Specialist, he also holds a MS in Clinical Exercise Physiology. He is most recognized for his work with competitive amateur and collegiate rotary power athletes.

I've known Carlos for a few year via the internet (how awesome is that!) and he is one of the few physical therapists I know who has started a successful cash based practice right after graduating PT school. He owns a successful multi-therapist and multi-location practice that also incorporates a clinical internship program for DPT students.
